Come see how I’m building discourse, innovative products and purpose-driven companies that try to tackle some of today’s biggest challenges.

I was always interested in running my own business, and began selling exotic turtles as a kid. But turtles aren’t the fastest vehicles for financial success, right? Thirteen year old Milan agrees.
So when I was still in high school, I established Milan Farms: a business which created a humane and organic system for raising poultry, as well as growing pure saffron. Within a year, I was offering saffron and eggs year round to Silicon Valley consumers. I shuttered the barn doors when I went off to college, but I hope someday to get back to the dream of just collecting eggs and tending crocuses.

When I arrived at college, I quickly found myself more interested in founding new businesses than partying with my classmates. In 2018 and 2019, I founded or co-founded a trio of companies - Guin Records, The Doe, and Dormzi - all designed to solve problems I could see in the world around me.
Over the next several years, I worked to build and evolve those companies. I learned a multitude of lessons from Dormzi which did not survive long after my college career ended, while succeeding at uplifting the voices and artistry of others through The Doe and Guin. During that time, I built networks, put together impactful teams, and overcame many of the challenges Silicon Valley can throw at a young entrepreneur.

I have been a writer for as long as I can remember. When I was 13, I published my first major article in the Huffington Post. In the years that followed, I have written for Entrepreneur, Forbes, Rolling Stone, and more, focusing on entrepreneurship, civil discourse, artistic integrity, and empowering creatives.
But in late 2020, I was approached with an idea - take my expertise in promoting civil discourse as a writer and founder of The Doe, and publish a book that would help others embrace constructive dialogue. I never imagined the challenge I had taken on when I accepted my first book contract, but the process of writing a manuscript and following through to publication has been incredibly rewarding. I’m Just Saying taught me more about myself and the writing process, and will instill better discursive habits in its readers.

In 2021, I decided to focus my efforts as a founder and investor, building anKord, my personal incubator. I brought together a small team of clever unicorns and rebels that could help me grow the companies we invest in, all driven by the same desire to make the world better through purpose-driven capitalism.
Today, anKord is incubating half a dozen small companies, and has invested in the bright ideas of renegade founders and visionaries across multiple industries. We focus on helping translate novel ideas into marketable products, and provide support during pre-seed business development and fundraising.

I have always felt that writing is an opportunity to start a wider dialogue about the issues that are important to me. From my new book on civil discourse to my work in Forbes, Entrepreneur, Rolling Stone, and beyond, I’ve tried to share what I’ve learned from my experiences as an entrepreneur and music executive:
I believe that many of the challenges we will face going forward require cooperation, and civil discourse is the first step in building empathy and collaboration. As an author, I try to engage my peers in debates about some of the most pressing issues facing GenZ: technological change, the failure of the college system, creative control for artists, and the importance of environmental stewardship. I hope you’ll join me and share our visions for a better future.
No entrepreneur or creative lives in a vacuum, and I am constantly energized and awakened by new ideas, products, and processes. I’ve started growing a digital garden of the artists, thought-leaders, and innovators that have inspired me: people who are wrestling with the great problems of today and rising to the challenges our future holds. It’s also a place for me to water and grow my own North Stars - and share them with you!
